We started off small, in a disused Scout hut in Albany Park. Everything was smaller; even the band was only a duo! The next two years found us in another Scouting venue - the Boys and Girls Hall in Bexley, by which time the band was a 5-piece and the entertainment included Morris Dancers as well. By 2004 we had moved again, to our current  home, the Freemantle Hall in the heart of Bexley Village.  The festival is a way for homebrew enthusiasts to show off their creations and raise money for charity. The most important thing is that everyone has a day to remember! Each year we nominate a good cause for our proceeds to go to. If possible we choose a local charity, or one with local presence. After we take out the cost of the hire of the hall, the food, the various trophies, insurance and other small miscellaneous costs, 100% of any takings goes to the nominated charity. The organisers take no fee, but do get to enjoy a good day, even if they do have to clear up afterwards! The festival is held at the Freemantle Hall, 51-75 Bexley High Street, Bexley, DA5 1AA
